Pros
100% paid healthcare. Very busy with overtime availability
Cons
Plagued by nepotism, favoritism, unprofessionalism, and it’s got a daycare type atmosphere. extreme assumptions with employees, jobs, parts without ever verification. Very poor training for new employees, Foreman will treat you like an idiot if he does not like you. Produce false narratives to upper management to get you fired. They frown on critical thinking and look more for a drone worker. No direction on jobs. Poorly written work orders. Expect you to complete tasks not written on the work order which in turn leads to over hours on jobs, lower efficiency percentage which then they will hold it over your head when asking for a raise. They lead you to believe you will get annual and even semi annual evaluations and raises but years will go by without ever receiving any. Even cornering management about it will still put you off. There is a lot of back stabbing where techs can smile and lead you to believe a level of trust but report negatively to management without you ever knowing it. I seen this first hand for years with our high turn over rate and they wonder why it’s tough to find technicians. Shop morale is pretty low and if you let it can bring you down pretty quick. Cannot resolve issues in the shop because Forman will tell you there is nothing he can do, service manager will avoid listening to it with a literal fingers in the ear lalalalala and general manager will tell you he will take care of it and nothing will ever get done. Most shop technicians know this which creates a negative atmosphere. Shop technicians will openly tell you how bad the company is and issues it has but when a manager asks they will say nothing and it’s a great place……
