Extreme amounts of beauracracy and micromanaging. SolidWorks modeling practices are extremely hampered by having to work around the poorly designed ERP system. Sales lacks knowledge of the technology. Design guidance reflects this. Contrived drawing practices don't adhere to ANSI standard, requires a lot of tedious work arounds in the software. Every one of your drawings is nitpicked to a nauseating degree to match this contrived company standard. Rather than working off of a history of innovative designs and knowledge of future technology direction, the design guidance is driven by competitor catalogs who are leaving them in the dust in both quality and product line. Hard to get satisfaction from your designs when the resulting products are so poorly put together by fabrication and assembly crew who don't take a moment to study the drawing to make sure they are putting it together correctly.
