Pros

Positive and supportive environment, focused on the best interests of the clients, not-for-profit, inclusive and welcoming, high standards for care. Salaries and benefits are on par for a small to medium company

Cons

Growing pains - as we've gotten bigger it affects communication. Too much value placed on appearance of client environment over effectiveness of workplace. Funding is subject to whims of the State, so salaries can't be as high as we'd like and health insurance is expensive.

Pros

I have absolutely loved my time at Willows Way in both positions I have held. As both a Program Supervisor and CRC I have had the opportunity to help enrich peoples lives. As a CRC every day was different and I liked that. I was trusted with making my own schedule and making sure my clients needs were met. It took a little getting used to but it was definitely a huge pro for me in the end. Because the clients in my program were so capable, their goals were written more open ended which allowed me to really get creative with how we approached working on their various life goals. I often found myself growing in my own life because of the work I was doing. As Program Supervisor I get to discuss with staff and clients what goals should be and help craft support plans that would really help the clients and I love it. Additionally, I get to supervise a great group Community Resources Coordinators. I have learned a tremendous amount with their help and I like to think that they feel the same way about me. The staff here really have a great dynamic and come together so well to help the clients.

Cons

While I view it as a plus, the dynamic nature of the schedule might not be a good fit for some people.
