Pros
Relatively stable company and with the new organization (DRAM separate from Logic), performance of the individual business units are easier to determine
Cons
Taiwanese leadership is very, very parochial. The US input was not very highly regarded. Momentum ruled the day unless change was absolutely needed. Then, change was made without thinking about execution.
