Pros

If you’re into working for startups, go for it. And it’s in NY.

Cons

The company started out by using the window displays of big fashion brands like Hermès and Gucci to inspire the consumer to buy cheaper clothes and knock-offs. The way it was set up didn’t make it illegal but you burn bridges and money when you go down that road. The company’s founders were forced into raising more capital while doing a pivot into a B2B company. They now try to hawk those very same luxury brands and those who work for them into buying visual merchandising subscriptions. I'm not sure how that makes sense, knowing they just took advantage of their new customer base’s hard work and competed with them ? 10 years in, still a start-up and more capital will be needed. Lucky for them, there’s plenty out there and these Wall Street guys always know where to find another one, but as an employee, be careful when you join them down this road. Especially if it’s your goal to one day work for one of those luxury brands. They’re all about legacy and integrity and if you happen to bump into a person in the know, like I did, expect them to raise an eyebrow when you proudly go over your resume. Talk about a rude awaking.
