Pros
Everyone at the firm will make you feel stupid at how smart they are. That being said, everyone can be quite kind and collegial. They will also help you with almost anything to ensure high quality work product is provided.
Cons
The major problems appear to be associated with bringing the business into the 21st century in how it looks at its employees, clients, and business model. Everything is so formal that you feel uncomfortable asking for anything, even something simple like asking HR about a benefit. Specific to CA, the firm has not evolved to recognize differences in clients' personalities. What seems worse is that there are known bad apples who have been with the firm a long time and regularly violate state law on a broad array of issues, but the worst being FEHA/employment/sexual harassment claims. And nothing is done.
