Pros
I have been a member of the Wize team at Queen’s University for almost two years now, and, because of the incredibly positive experience I have had with the company, I greatly look forward to continuing my work. One of the best things about working with Wize is the flexibility of the position, in that team members may select as many or as few shifts as they would like to take each week. These shifts are great as they provide an opportunity to interact with fellow students and meet new people on campus while offering genuinely helpful study materials! As a relatively new company, Wize is great to work for if you are interested in start ups and wish to learn a bit about business. The management team is also just incredible, offering helpful guidance, quick and through communication, and sincere appreciation of employees. There are always opportunities to show initiative and share your creative ideas, and management really appreciates when you do this. They are also very aware that their employees are busy students, but they value communication and are very understanding and kind in general.
Cons
The only draw back of working with Wize is that there are not always ample and consistent opportunities to work. Some weeks there are more shifts to pick up than others, and only certain weeks are there opportunities to take on extra tasks. The more you show interest and initiative the more work you will get, but there are sometimes slow times!
