Pros
Free snacks, free catered lunch once per week, standing desks, some covered parking, every other Friday off, amazing coworkers.
Cons
Management has no idea what they're doing. They provide 0 job security, and have conducted multiple mass layoffs and firings. When you are fired they will provide no reasoning. They will fire you over a holiday break, they will fire you if you're on maternity leave, they will fire you if you've been there for years and have plenty of experience. Do NOT work here. They're prepared to let you go in an instant. Executives don't have much idea of what their employees actually do. They don't listen to suggestions, timelines, or progress updates. They will add new features to a game late in development that directly contradict work that has been going on for a while. After demanding new features they will complain about how long it takes to develop, and they'll be surprised when the project eventually fails on release. They poorly follow trends on the platform and don't know how to achieve success. They hire contractors who frequently submit poor work, leaving in-studio employees to redo the outsourced tasks. There is little room for career growth and upward mobility unless you directly befriend the CEO and cater to his every demand. Promotions are only given to his "yes men". There are also drastic pay discrepancies between employees, whether in the same department or not. They also don't support work from home at all, for any reason, BUT they will allow employees to crunch and keep working on projects outside of work.
