Pros
Working as a janitor for the past 3 years has given me stable employment with predictable hours. Management respects my work schedule and rarely asks for last-minute overtime. The health insurance benefits are decent compared to other janitorial positions I've held. Several of the office staff regularly acknowledge me by name and are appreciative of my work.
Cons
The company constantly cuts corners on cleaning supplies, forcing me to stretch products or bring my own to meet their cleanliness standards. There's virtually no path for advancement - I've applied for the facilities supervisor position twice without even getting an interview. Break room is always a disaster because people don't clean up after themselves despite multiple company-wide emails.
