PROFESSIONALLY: - They micromanage every one of their employees to the point that their turnover rate is comparable to a fast food joint. All of the new hires come without experience and are trained in a very aggressive and backhanded sales approach (see: changing start dates on LinkedIn to say they've been with the company longer than they have). There is NO focus on what would be best for the candidate or client, all they care about is the check that they get every month. If their clients heard 1% of what they say about them after hanging up the phone these guys would be shamed in to bankruptcy. - Gaslighting is the norm in this office; being told you can do it on your own and stop asking for help, attempting to do so and having trouble, then being told you should've asked for help the whole time is their favorite way to manage. - Quantity over Quality in their KPI driven culture. If you're not on the phone for 80% of your time in the office, you're wrong. If you didn't send out 400 emails that day, you're wrong. No emphasis on building relationships with clients, everything is about your statistics and numbers. They'll fire you if you don't bill enough in your first quarter. - Starting salary is low and non-negotiable, you're drawn in with the promise of incredibly high commissions and holiday bonuses but you realistically won't be seeing any high sums of money for at least 2 years. Pay is only once a month and commission checks could take even longer. CULTURALLY: - Misogyny is the way of life in this office. Most conversation amongst management is about women's bodies, or sexual exploits. Any time a resume submitted by a woman is received the first comments are usually "She fit?" - Instances of managers and trainees in openly romantic relationships has caused an environment of obvious favoritism and an unbalance of work load for those trainees. - No work/life balance; They hire Brooklyn/Manhattan residents nearly exclusively so they can make sure you're in the office at the crack of dawn and stay until the sun goes down. If you're not in the office, you're fully expected to be working 24/7.
