Overworked and expected the same efficiency even though only two people were in the Escalated Support Team. Management Failed to recruit more members; when approached, my concerns were not taken seriously at first. Management was more concerned about how unstable the job market was and the difficulties of recruiting. Management wanted the team to keep a work diary to track our daily workload rather than investing in another team member. There wasn’t any recognition in the role either; your work rarely got rewarded. Moving on from this role, I realised my biggest mistake was staying as long as I did (almost four years). My salary didn’t reflect the market rate and my experience in this role. Learn from my mistake. Do not apply to work here. Everything looks good in the beginning, but eventually, you’ll see the truth for yourself.
