If you're considering working at Zapp, you may want to think twice. The working conditions here are subpar—even Amazon offers better treatment, allowing employees to listen to their own music with earphones. At Zapp, workers are subjected to whatever music the supervisor chooses to play over speakers, with no personal choice in the matter. For a company that claims to offer a "premium" service to customers, it fails to maintain even basic hygiene standards in its warehouses. Shockingly, there are no professional cleaners, leaving the facilities in a state of neglect. The bathrooms are often filthy and rarely cleaned properly. In fact, we frequently run out of hand soap, which raises serious concerns about sanitation. If customers saw the state of the warehouse, they would likely reconsider placing an order. Management prioritizes insignificant details, such as whether a label is perfectly straight placed in the bag, rather than addressing real operational issues. The work environment is not only disorganized but also highly toxic. Employees are paid minimum wage to endure exhausting shifts, even night shifts, yet basic necessities like a proper break area with tables are overlooked. The 30-minute break—already too short for such a demanding job—becomes even more uncomfortable without adequate facilities. Most shifts are chaotic due to chronic understaffing. Turnover is extremely high, with employees either being let go within two months or quitting on their own. The lack of stability only adds to the stressful and disorganized atmosphere. Ultimately, the poor working conditions, unreasonable management, and lack of concern for employee well-being make Zapp a workplace best avoided. There are far better job opportunities elsewhere offering the same salary but better shift times, more organized, etc

In our fulfilment centres, timely communication between supervisors and the team is essential. This is why we don’t allow earphones but everyone is able to listen to music from the PC. Regarding cleanliness, it’s the shared responsibility of all team members to maintain this. We monitor the premises regularly and if they are ever found below standard, we address this internally. We continually manage staffing levels and we have recruited several new team members over the past months to balance our team’s workload.
