Pros

Many young people, access to projects inside Lufthansa organization, airline exposure, company wants to make a positive difference.

Cons

Many people with very little real-work experience sometimes produce really weird ideas and discussing those can be very exhausting. Project placement inside Lufthansa turns the company into a body-leasing shop where you'll get the tasks to pick hot coals out of the fire external consultants stoke up. Airline experience is not very valuable in Germany since Lufthansa is pretty much the only game in the country. Company expects you to work on often confusing and poorly budgeted internal "projects" after you did your "8 hours or more" on the project, earning consulting fees. Although ZeroG is a startup it doesn't have a product and it's purely a consulting focused organization belonging to Lufthansa Systems. There are no stock options and with ZeroG you'll be "internal external", or "pale-yellow" person, who's Lufthansa employee and not really a Lufthansa employee (e.g. you get some flight benefits but much worse than Lufthansa Passage). Professional development is pretty poor. In the past year or so nobody I know received any technical trainings from a leading technology vendor, instead there's a "library" and company purchased some $10 Udemy courses. Project roles also won't give you much room to grow.

Pros

- Flat hierachies, but still has a great leadership with their Managing Director - Great colleagues from diverse backgrounds - Good salary with great perks (flight benefits!) - A lot of interesting projects - Fun off-sites and hackathons - Many opportunities to participate in all parts of the company, but you're not forced to

Cons

- The hiring procedure went through a lot of restructuring and was a bit chaotic at some time - Your work varies strongly on the projects you're assigned to

Pros

Potential for learning if you have time

Cons

Unrealistic Expectations: The company has a habit of overpromising to clients and then underdelivering, which leads to a stressful work environment. Skill Gap: Many employees, particularly recent hires, have impressive academic credentials but lack practical experience. This can lead to inefficiencies and slow down projects. There seems to be a reluctance from some to learn new skills or adapt to changing needs. Toxic Work Culture: A culture of arrogance exists among some senior employees who view themselves as superior to newer colleagues. This can lead to gossiping, negativity, and a top-down communication style that stifles creativity and initiative.
