Pros

Zooppa is a unique company. Although it's been out for a while, in the last few years it has changed completely: the culture is very strong and based on trust, transparency and collaboration. You get the opportunity to do creative work with some of the most talented filmmakers, photographers and designers from around the world while dealing with famous brands or cool startups. There are many opportunities to grow as the company grows but especially to get your hands dirty and see a direct impact of your job within the company.

Cons

Startup life is like a rollercoaster, so you've to be ready to face both the exciting times and the tough ones.

Pros

You can't ask for a better opportunity to show the world what you are made of. Upper management gives you free reign to make yourself and your work a success. No micro-managing, no motivation tactics, just freedom to do great work. As a small company, you are able to interact very closely with clients which you don't get at a traditional agency. We also benefit from everyone on the team being committed to improving the company. I am lucky to work with people who share a vision for the future of agencies and advertising. Zooppa also has an enormously talented group of freelance creatives that are fun to work with. I can honestly say I have made great friends.

Cons

As a small team, you are given a lot of responsibility which makes it difficult sometimes to take time away.

Pros

Working for Zooppa was a great opportunity to gain insight into the marketing/ad world. I really felt like I was making an impact on the success of the company, the campaign and the client. There were a plethora of opportunities that made my time spent as a intern "my own." Basically, whatever area or specialty you were interested, you were able to pursue as long as you kept up your baseline requirement tasks. The atmosphere was fun and laid back; everyone worked hard but knew how to toss out jokes when need be. It was nice being within 20 feet of everyone, not confined to a certain space. There is a great vibe and culture within Zooppa, both at the Seattle office and abroad in Italy. Flexible and understanding when life happens.

Cons

Outreach can be dull and boring at times. If you aren't a "go-getter," entrepreneur individual this internship might not be for you. You should definitely be interested in video content like Vimeo or YouTube if you want to fully enjoy the internship.
