Behind the shiny external image there’s a company that really falls short of being a good employer. Probably most importantly, pay is average to poor for many roles and little chance of getting any sort of a raise. Negativity and lack of enthusiasm for the company permeates throughout. There’s an extreme lack of communication and collaboration even within teams that sticks out more than anywhere I have ever worked before. Talented and experienced people come into the company with ideas only to become jaded by an unwillingness to be supported by leadership. Senior management offer very little input into proper strategies and there’s a culture of everyone just doing their own little thing to get by whether that’s to achieve targets or just keep the company afloat. The integration process between boxxe and Total was torturous for everyone and included many redundancies with long standing staff and entire departments cut with little notice or plan to recover. Some basic systems and processes have barely worked since for many internal users. Loads of staff who weren’t made redundant left through choice.
