      Pros

      As a software developer, you’re close to the product and get to see how changes affect it and the user experience. The pay is great, and there’s bonus potential. I also appreciate the practical stuff: phone/internet contribution, commute costs covered, and a learning budget. The office is nice as well, with coffee and snacks available.

      Cons

      Documentation can pile up quickly if you don't keep up with it.
