Roles are separated by leadership levels. When you receive a promotion, you are responsible for mentoring employees on lower levels than you. This helps strengthen newer members which gets the whole teamon the same page quickly.

Pros
Interesting projects, family like atmosphere, decent salaries, training opportunities, management /operations doors are always open and everyone works hard to get you on projects that help you develop your skill set
Cons
Its a small company so there is not much room to advance, although, you are given opportunity to lead teams, learn from very good technical people and mentoring is pretty good.
