Pros

You get to Manage your own diary. Given laptop and mobile phone to use. Good mileage allowance and allowance towards broadband costs. Staff on the same level as me & some managers are lovely people.

Cons

You are never acknowledged for anything good you may do, but always told of things you've done wrong or haven't done. Constantly come out of one to ones feeling like the naughty child. The goal posts are constantly moved, so that when you do achieve one of your kpi's they change. I have worked for this company for a number of years and yet no acknowledgement of this when I left. Feel as though I have had the life sucked out of me, by working for them. Have seen good managers forced out or left because they won't bully their staff. Such a shame, because there are some lovely people working there, but they are treated so badly that they will soon feel worthless, as I did.

Pros

Flexible work - errr I can’t think of anything else.

Cons

They don’t pay your invoices. • Freelance assessors are expected to complete work in good faith but payments are frequently delayed. • Outstanding invoices can remain unpaid for weeks or months, creating significant financial uncertainty for freelancers. • The Head of Department openly acknowledged that payment problems have happened before and can take months to resolve • Freelancers appear to be treated as an afterthought. When payments are missed, communication from senior leadership is either extremely limited or non-existent, leaving assessors chasing answers and feeling undervalued.

Pros

Supportive line managers Great students who try hard

Cons

Not been paid. I am owed £1000s now from them. Directory of study as others have mentioned make no attempt to communicate. They pay as little as possible and the rest rolls into next month.
