Pros

Working with some really passionate colleagues. Flexible hours Mileage allowance ..... .....

Cons

Working with some data driven people who care more about quantity than quality. If a TA is not keeping their caseload on target or ahead then that needs dealing with. Being held responsible for data out of your control. Not being given full information, FEweek wrote an article about LD being given a serious performance breach notice. Not a word from Learndirect internally. Not listening to the reviews on here. Doing nothing to retain some good TA's. Even with a redundancy scheme looming we can still retain quality. We moved away from the blueprint model of management, we all hoped for a better future. Absolutely nothing has changed. Where is my local manager? Where is the local centre?

Pros

Flexible work and platform is easy to navigate

Cons

Do not pay staff - I work on a freelance basis for Learndirect haven't received payment for my last 3 invoices - Directors ignore your emails, no communication, freelance assessors have now stopped working until they get paid, causing late marking issues for students. They offer - for a fee a fast track marking service however these are going unmarked because the assessors won't work for free!

Pros

Flexible work - errr I can’t think of anything else.

Cons

They don’t pay your invoices. • Freelance assessors are expected to complete work in good faith but payments are frequently delayed. • Outstanding invoices can remain unpaid for weeks or months, creating significant financial uncertainty for freelancers. • The Head of Department openly acknowledged that payment problems have happened before and can take months to resolve • Freelancers appear to be treated as an afterthought. When payments are missed, communication from senior leadership is either extremely limited or non-existent, leaving assessors chasing answers and feeling undervalued.
