Pros

People behind the scenes and front line - marketing, curriculum, implementation etc and the tutors who actually care about the learners.

Cons

Greedy management - profit over morals. no reward or recognition for over worked staff on the ground. more concerned over reputation than the ethics of the company.

Pros

Flexible work and platform is easy to navigate

Cons

Do not pay staff - I work on a freelance basis for Learndirect haven't received payment for my last 3 invoices - Directors ignore your emails, no communication, freelance assessors have now stopped working until they get paid, causing late marking issues for students. They offer - for a fee a fast track marking service however these are going unmarked because the assessors won't work for free!

Pros

Flexible work - errr I can’t think of anything else.

Cons

They don’t pay your invoices. • Freelance assessors are expected to complete work in good faith but payments are frequently delayed. • Outstanding invoices can remain unpaid for weeks or months, creating significant financial uncertainty for freelancers. • The Head of Department openly acknowledged that payment problems have happened before and can take months to resolve • Freelancers appear to be treated as an afterthought. When payments are missed, communication from senior leadership is either extremely limited or non-existent, leaving assessors chasing answers and feeling undervalued.
