Pros
Great environment! Management is invested and values company growth. The other recruiters are great colleagues and have become good friends outside of work. Resources are abundant, including access to multiple job boards (posting/sourcing), an excellent internal system, and the tools provided (large desk, top of the line telephone system, dual monitors + laptop screen, etc.). Management takes everybody out for holiday lunches and will order food for employee birthdays. Ability to work from home if absolutely necessary and around major holidays. Further, you will find an opportunity to expand your reach into other parts of the business if you express interest.
Cons
At time of job offer, you will be told that you can make $40k first year; this is false. You might be lucky to take home $34k (pre-tax) by working some extra hours. There is no formal handbook; policies are made regularly via e-mail. Health Benefits are extremely expensive; employees cannot opt into retirement programs until after at least 12 months; sick time is limited to 2 days per year; commission payroll has had recurring errors; resume review process (internally of candidates) is done by somebody without a recruiting background; Head of HR is also the Account Executive
