Pros

- Very flat hierarchy. You can talk to the founders and the CTO anytime you like. - Great place to learn about new technologies and try out new things. You have a good idea? You fancy implementing it? Then you can go for it. - Technical challenges are interesting and include a variety of different domains from performance, security, data privacy, data warehouse, file parsing etc. to all sorts of UI/UX and frontend related tasks. - Rest of the team is genuinly helpful and fun to be working with - Remote first, very flexible work schedule, 27 days of holidays (above average in UK) - Get the equipment you need to work (Macbook, Linux or Windows notebook, desk & chair, headset etc.) - No limited budget for training courses or conferences. If you see something that is interesting to you and would benefit you in becoming a better Software Developer then you can just book it.

Cons

- Growing pains, parcelLab is scaling up quite fast in terms of customers and employees, which can cause some hiccups in certain workflows while scaling up and defining new processes (seems to be a common issue with start-ups at this stage though)

Pros

Fully remote work with option to go into office if you want. Love that they provided an allowance to furnish my home office with whatever I needed to be comfortable. Team is global but everyone is available when you need them and willing to help. Opportunities to meet co-workers with well thought out offsite trips/meetings. Strong product offering and a focus on solving complex problems for customers. Coming from another company where the approach was one-size-fits-all it is nice to feel like we are actually trying to be a partner with our customers rather than adding to their technical debt. Well established in Europe and now a strong focus on growing in the US. I appreciate that they understand that both markets have their own unique set of circumstances and are open to shifting their offering or expectations based on the market and not "well this is the way we have always done it".

Cons

Such a small complaint but being a European based company a lot of the on-boarding and training videos include non-american slang or references so have to understand the unique phrases or convert the foreign currency examples to American dollars. But honestly that is kind of the fun part too!
