Pros
I appreciated being hired for my wits and analytical skills even though I had never done this before. Scott saw my potential and wanted to teach me. Although I didn’t learn as much as I thought I would, I appreciated the thought.
Cons
There was a lot of nuances that were not properly laid out in terms of my role. My role was essentially to “copy and paste” anything that the CEO did. I learned and caught on pretty quickly when i was taught something, but I wasn’t given much room for error. It became entirely stressful as the VP of Customer Success would just pile things on my plate continuously and would use me as the person to bounce ideas off of. It means random calls all throughout the day, early morning, late afternoons. Zoom fatigue was out of this world. I would have to work throughout the night to get work done outside of the zoom calls so work life balance was a dud. Feedback was not accepted as if you did not agree with her, then she would wear you down until you finally just said “okay.”
