Cons
This company is not just unfit for software developers, it is unfit for humans! If you are from North India, your sorrow will begin the moment you land in Nagpur. This place is no more than a village with good roads and metro connectivity. The people are foolish, jealous, casteist and arrogant. The food is bad. Transportation is pathetic and facilities are non-existent. For a rent of Rs.3000 - Rs.4000, you get a single room with 4 walls, 1 tubelight, 1 fan and a shared bathroom - that's it! Now compare that to what you get as a PG in the NCR or Bangalore! smartData Nagpur is just a reflection of the horrific place just described. You have to work with some of the most incompetent people you will ever meet, and you have to do so in inhuman conditions. For instance, you will be working 12-14 hours, 6-7 days a week even though there is no arrangement for food or transportation for odd hours. To save on bills, they even keep the elevator and coffee machine turned off! Leave policy is a joke and favoritism is rampant. HRs are more interested in your personal life than professional requirements. Directors will keep you underpaid and unpromoted for years, while they themselves seek perks every now and then. There are no onsite opportunities and no assistance for upskilling. Job security is zero - whenever your appraisal is due, you will be replaced by a lesser paid new recruit. All in all, this place is a Hell on Earth!
