Pros

Flexible working hours and helpful colleagues

Cons

If you want a place with no direction, this is the place for you. There’s no strategy from management, even if there is, it’s all over the place. What the past comments have said about top management is true - the culture is very cowboy style and if you’re a good looking female employee, it’s best you steer clear of this place, unless you enjoy being harassed then by all means, go for it. Top management will pay for negative reviews to be taken down instead of looking internally to see where processes have gone wrong and how the company can do better. Some of the heads will pocket incentives for themselves instead of giving it to their subordinates who truly deserve it. I’d say it’s a great place if you are a yes-man and just want to cruise through the rest of your days.

Pros

uSMART Securities Singapore is a close-knit and fast-moving team with a vibrant working environment. The company has clear strategic direction and generally strong alignment across teams, which helps execution despite its lean structure. The culture is collaborative and energetic, with colleagues being approachable and willing to support one another. There is also a good degree of flexibility in working style, which allows employees to adapt and perform effectively in a fast-paced setting. A key strength is the strong focus on talent development. The leadership team places real emphasis on nurturing employees from diverse backgrounds and promoting internal talent whenever possible, rather than relying heavily on external hiring. Overall, it is a good environment for those looking to grow in a dynamic fintech and brokerage setting, with strong exposure, learning opportunities, and a clear focus on internal development.

Cons

The company operates closely within China market practices and regulatory direction, which is important to understand. Employees who are aligned with this approach will likely find it a good fit, while those more used to Western-style workflows may need time to adjust. One area for improvement is that, due to the fast growth and evolving structure, processes and expectations can sometimes feel less defined, requiring employees to be proactive and adaptable.
