A Giant Mess With No Direction

Pros

If you like a company that has little oversight of the work being done, then this is the job for you. Personally I care the direction I and the team are going, but none of the executive team seems to care, nor do they have much indication they know what direction the company is going in.

Cons

Get out as soon as you can. There is VERY MUCH competition, all of which is proving to be more innovative, have more backing, and a MUCH STRONGER sense of direction than Enplug. This company will be gone in the very near future.

Good but not great

Pros

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high growth environment - True ownership of projects and tasks, not just a small piece of a larger pie - Flexible hours with expectation that projects/goals need to be on time - Collaborative culture with extremely talented individuals - The experience and exposure to groups within Enplug accelerates your career significantly.

Cons

- Transparency is one of the core values, but poor job is done in being transparent between departments. The actual pulse of the company is kept hidden from employees including items like current funding levels, burn rates, amount of cash in the bank and most of the cap table & liquidation preferences. Often times decisions are made by a select few at the top of the organization without any input from other team members. - Similar to transparency, the organization is projected as being extremely flat but has an internal hierarchy that can cause issues. - The compensation is significantly below that of other startups and the benefits are the lowest of any company I've seen, even if your position is commission + base salary. - Work & Life balance is non-existent, even discouraged at times, through the use of words like cult and unrealistic expectations that are changing month to month. - Compensation is touted as consistent among employees but compensation packages among employees can be 25-35% more or less with no recognition or basis on length of time or skill set that is brought to the company.

Hello, I'd love some time to sit down and discuss where you believe we can improve on transparency, benefits, and more. Please feel free to stop in any time. While we openly share details on Enplug's finances and are consistently adding to our benefits package (full dental/health/vision, 1-3 weeks PTO, sick days and other options to take the time off that you need), it's your input that lets us know what needs to be done next. We're committed to constantly improving, and your open feedback makes that possible. You know where to find me, any time :) -Brenna

Very Happy Employee

Pros

- Everyone is dedicated - Everyone is friendly - A 'family' type vibe throughout the company - For a startup, the company is structured very well - The office is pretty - Consistent effort to improve any cultural weaknesses

Cons

- Sometimes everyone (including myself) can get caught up in the daily grind, forgetting to enjoy the moment. - High-stress - Pay is of course less than average, however expected because it's a startup.
