I worked at Euro RSCG Life full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good team environment, easy interview process.

    Cons

Low salary, long hours, tight deadlines, short staffed in design department, unreasonable sick day policy. Not enough admin overhead to take care of family issues or personal matters. Often approved designs were redundantly redesigned by another creative who has poor communication with the group about previously approved pitches, color schemes, and designs.

    Advice to Management

consider higher salary for directors, ample notice for a project to meet deadlines, and allowing sick time for staff so that they do not spread influenza, etc. in the workplace

I have been working at Euro RSCG Life full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The culture fostered at Euro RSCG Life was amazing. Partly because of the grueling hours that team members stayed there.

    Cons

Management was very disconnected from their employees and completely blind to what was going on around them. Outside of the office being somewhat of a disaster aesthetically, people clearly expressed a sense of misery that went overlooked.

I worked at Euro RSCG Life full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Some cool people (but no more than other agencies)
    - Employee training can be helpful
    - In office gatherings (summer BBQs, monthly group birthday celebrations) occasionally relieve the stress
    - Correcting the horrible work/life balance is on the radar for leadership

    Cons

    - Antiquated workflow - no electronic approvals/routing
    - Everyone above VP seems dedicated to Yes-ing clients at the expense of their employees, while spending all their time on pitches and "internal fluff that will never see the light of day" as someone else here put it
    - Horrendous hours
    - Many account execs have no idea about how to estimate and set expectations on digital projects

    Advice to Management

    - Comp time and bonuses for extra hours worked
    - Focus less on buzzwords and more on making actual changes. Incrementalism works.
    - Create a new business group so regular employees don't get pulled off their regular work without volunteering

    Pros

Competitive salary & benefits, professional development, large network

    Cons

Singular focus on revenue above all else, lack of agency culture, large network

    Advice to Management

Maintain the core values and principles that helped establish ERL while pushing the agency forward. Regardless of how big the agency network is, you can't be all things to all people (or clients). Stay humble and treat your employees the same as your clients (like valuable commodities).

    Pros

Nice people and civil work hours. Like all pharma places the people are much nicer than the work you have to do.

    Cons

pharma work is mind-numbingly depressing....except in a few instances. You are basically a drug pusher in most of the cases. When not pushing drugs, you are working on pie-in-the-sky stuff that never gets built.

    Advice to Management

management needs to roll up its sleeves and get more hands on. they also need to push their clients into new technologies

    Pros

Level of professionalism among staff; good resources; opportunity to work with good clients; compensation was fair; depth of experience in firm

    Cons

Difficult to get information; pettiness among employees; corporate culture was odd as a result of multi-mergers; integration did not work well

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

There's such a feeling of collegiality and respect in the place. Unlike other places I've worked there is very little drama or egos. People form friends quickly and pull together to do work dilligently

    Cons

The downsides would have to be that sometimes, working on pharma can be a challenge. The regulatory environment often doesn't offer us a lot of wiggle room with what we do creatively. But hey, its a challenge.

    Advice to Management

Keep on winning new business. Stay competitive when it comes to salaries. Think about branching out into wellness and other categories
