Toxic Culture, Weak Leadership, Limited Future

Pros

The agency offers solid health insurance benefits through its UK-based parent group, which is a notable advantage. There are opportunities to work with a few well-known brands and gain meaningful client exposure early on. This could be a suitable environment for recent graduates looking to build experience and use the role as a stepping stone to strengthen their CV.

Cons

The organization is significantly hindered by poor leadership and a highly political environment, where recognition of individual contributions is rare to nonexistent. Decision-making is concentrated and often driven by internal dynamics rather than sound business strategy, resulting in a lack of clear direction and limited confidence in the company’s future. There is a notable absence of proper onboarding or structured support for new hires, setting employees up to struggle from the outset. Management quality is a major concern — many individuals in leadership roles lack the experience and capability required, which contributes to a consistently unprofessional, and more often than not, a toxic workplace environment. The internal culture further exacerbates these issues. Gossip and unproductive discussion about both clients and team members are commonplace and appear to be tolerated, if not encouraged, by leadership. This creates a lack of trust and undermines team cohesion. Operationally, the agency is severely understaffed, placing excessive strain on employees and impacting overall performance. From a business standpoint, the agency struggles to win new business, losing far more pitches than it converts, which raises concerns about long-term viability. While there is underlying potential, meaningful improvement would require substantial leadership changes, a reset of company culture, and a serious investment in both talent and structure.
