I have been working at Fasturtle Interactive full-time for more than a year

    Pros

As a recent college graduate, I found myself in the same slump that many people find themselves in after graduation. I had no way of proving to a company that despite my lack of experience, I would be a valuable addition to their team. As I approached the end of my rope with job searching, the CEO of Fasturtle, Eric, gave me the chance to prove to the world what I already knew I was capable of. I am eternally grateful...

I worked at Fasturtle Interactive full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

They like to spend a lot of money on season tickets, “charity events” (that I suspect will soon be investigated) and lots of company swag, hosting small events, and “awards” of which include glass plaques that unfortunately I cannot post pictures on here but they don’t seem to have been given by any real or creditable association but rather appear to have been purchased online and “made.” That must make a “cool” and...

I have thought long and hard on this review (had some legal help sure) but encourage users to read this entire review for what it is - an unemotional statement of opinion based on my 3+ years experience at Fasturtle that you should consider to make an informed decision on whether to join their team or not. It’s been well over a year since I’ve worked at Fasturtle and if I could, I would send red roses and thank them...

    Advice to Management

Leave your former employee's alone and stop worrying about what everyone else is doing. Your reign and 18+ year crusade of bullying, manipulating SMBs, intimidating employees, will catch up to you if you do not change your ways, that much is assured.

I worked at Fasturtle Interactive part-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

Allowed for a flexible schedule if you were sick, had family emergencies, etc. as long as you were communicative (depending on if the owner liked you, which was obvious in an 11 person office). But this shouldn't be viewed as a pro but a norm. Had the opportunity to work with people of all the different skill sets being in a digital marketing company. I actually learned more from the other employees than I did my...

    Cons

There was a reason I worked there for 3 ½ years and was asked multiple times over my tenure to become full time (I'm a hard, dedicated, organized worker who has a great rapport with the other employees and clients) and I would turn it down every time (take a hint and read this, it may save you time and your career!) I lost absolute faith in the company when I saw 2 very good leaders and 23 employees pushed out by...

    Advice to Management

I really don't think you care nor have the capability as a human to take in the reality of your situation. At some point you have to ask yourself as an owner, how is it not your fault that you had 23 people leave or in some cases get fired, but being honest 19 of them quit on YOU! You are still operating at a 11-13 person team (I'm only counting the turnover while I was there), and you BARELY hit two million revenue...

I have been working at Fasturtle Interactive full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I have been working for Fasturtle for about 6 months and I only have positive things to say about the company! I would say the top "pro" of working for Fasturtle has been the company size. Because we are a smaller agency, everyone's voice is heard and appreciated. It also allows for collaboration between all the departments. I also love having two office locations - Scottsdale and Downtown Phoenix. It makes it fun,...

I worked at Fasturtle Interactive part-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Great team. Was able to negotiate a decent raise after being lowballed.

    Cons

CEO is a bully. Over the past 3 years, he's chewed up and spit out 28 employees. He assumes the worst about his employees, and treats us like children. A simple question from a client will freak him out and send him on the warpath, even when we're handling it proactively and with professionalism. I was overworked (at 30 hours/week, responsible for over 100 pieces of 300+ word content per month) but I enjoyed giving clients...

    Pros

Finding yourself or place so to speak in the work world, and really just life in general can be a process, that many never realize in today’s world. Luckily though, with places like Fasturtle, it is still a true reality. If you are looking for a place to make an impact, and change while loving what you do, then this is the just the place for you. I have been working at Fasturtle Interactive part-time for more than a year

    Pros

A few good people left and good work/life balance. Location is nice too but parking is not good.

    Cons

CEO Eric Olsen is simply not a nice person. He is very much all about him. He promises things to clients that his team has no way to deliver and then blames the team when it doesn't get done. He is very immature, angry and unprofessional. He creates a lot of the company's problems and then expects everyone else to fix them. Eric has burned a lot of bridges and there's a reason why this place has such high turnover. Talk...

    I worked at Fasturtle Interactive

    Pros

Was able to work with and become friends with some great individuals.

    Cons

Where to begin. The CEO of this company is perhaps one of the worst leaders I’ve ever had the displeasure of coming in contact with. Prepare to be micromanaged by a control freak whom has obvious trust issues, doesn’t know the first thing about leading a team, has regular overreactions to minor things without even learning all the facts first, etc...the list goes on and on. Also, don’t ever expect to get paid what you’re...

    Pros

The environment here is by far the most friendly and engaging I've ever been in. Everyone here comes in with a smile on their face and genuinely loves being here. There's opportunity to work up from within the company, and the benefits are wonderful and are even extended to part time employees! The work to life balance really can't be beat either. I don't know if I have found any major or even minor cons this company has. If anything, there is one con/complaint that I have heard multiple people talk about though and that is that it tends to feel like a blizzard in the office because of how cold it gets. I love it being chilly, and if you don't there is a bright side because Eric provides company jackets and shirts for free!

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing! Y'all are awesome!

I have been working at Fasturtle Interactive full-time

    Pros

The owner and his cabinet of trained specialists created a positive and flexible work environment. Fueled on creativity, technology and skill sharing, this agency is pushing the envelope when it comes to email marketing, web design, social media, paid media, SEO, and Local SEO. They are going to be growing very quickly in 2017 due to tech savvy advancements and work ethic.

    Cons

Located in North Scottsdale, near the Scottsdale Airport, the agency office is out of touch with their neighborhood, but this allows for the team to fulfill nationwide without distraction. The employee bonding and culture is built around deliverables for clients.

    Advice to Management

Keep it up, keep hiring talented and smart fulfillment.
