I have been working at Fish Window Cleaning full-time

    Pros

Work life balance is great. The individual guides their own day once leaving the office. Extremely flexible. Great pay percentage for a commission based structure.

    Cons

Although pay percentages are great, it doesn't always equal a great paycheck and any missed work hurts.

I have been working at Fish Window Cleaning full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Flexible schedule
Good pay for an unskilled position
Most work is outdoors, could be a pro or con
Use of company vehicle for some work

    Cons

    Unstable work and job pricing
Must pay for your own gas and car maintenance.
Work environment is dependent on your independence franchise owner
Very limited upward mobility - this is not a career

  7. "Good at Recruiting Franchisees"

    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

Management provides good instruction to owners how to effectively submit estimates for new work. Also teach them how to clean windows in order to supervise workers.

    Cons

The company is only focussed on selling franchises to unsuspecting people. Owning a franchise does not provide benefit. An owner can do everything on their own and be much more profitable.

    Advice to Management

Provide better sales support to franchisees.

I worked at Fish Window Cleaning part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I have to write at least 20 words so... Owner was easy going and the hours were flexible BUT ...

    Cons

... he has the WORST attitude towards customer service I've EVER seen!!! He said he deliberately won't be calling the customers that want to be called ahead. I feel that's crooked and shady of him. And the owner is BEYOND repetitive when he talks. It's insulting when someone talks to you and they have to repeat themselves because they think you don't understand. It's window cleaning! Its not that hard! He also couldn't route worth a crap and I told him numerous times I had a job for years where I routes and am good at it. He still rarely let me route though. And he called so many damn times a day and it's IMPOSSIBLE to get him to stop talking! Another previous employee and I felt we were extremely talked down to and felt the owner felt he had to babysit us. I hated going to work for the last month. At first it sounded promising but towards the end I felt I was just felt lines of crap. And I was sooo sick of hearing "thanks again! Great job!" or "Thanks again! awesome job!" That may be strange to get sick of hearing it I know. But it felt so scripted hearing it so often that it lost all meaning because it was constant. It lacked sincerity. I was going to be quitting on the spot at the end of the workday today or tomorrow if I was able to go out and work (I had an injury the last week). I was hired by a different company over the weekend and I start in one week. This new job pays more and offers health insurance. It worked out perfectly that I didn't have to wind up quitting on him and looking like the bad guy. I almost thanked him this morning when I was let go, lol 😊I'm so glad I'm out of there!

    Advice to Management

Stop talking to your employees like they don't understand anything. Learn proper customer service for your current customers instead of focusing on just getting new customers. Such a car salesman attitude! Shady, deceptive, and crooked!

I worked at Fish Window Cleaning part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible schedule, some jobs were easier than others, very little supervision, good people

    Cons

Some jobs were very hard, no compensation for gas, mileage, etc., work depends on the weather, pay could be better
