I have been working at Fives full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - Defined career paths that allow you to move vertically or horizontally as you desire - Great benefit offerings; HSA available, excellent vision and dental insurance - Good collaboration within engineering departments

    Cons

    - Pace can be fast for a few weeks and then slow for a week, but this is the nature of the industry

    Advice to Management

Continue to move forward and look for opportunities to secure integration work

I have been working at Fives full-time for more than a year

    Pros

There is plenty of room for advancement and plenty of training opportunities/ resources at Fives. The senior engineering staff is very talented and are helpful when approached for assistance/ guidance. They are committed to helping staff develope professionally. Some members of management will actually sit down with the employees and make development plans and help with the execution of those plans. There are... regular yearly evaluations by management/ HR. The HR department does a great job of keeping the atmosphere lively and coming up with new and creative ways to keep the staff engaged and interested in training and company events. They have a pretty good benefit package too.

    Cons

In the past, I heard raises were hard to come by. This is hard to judge due to individual performance and changes in management over the last couple years. The current HR team is very fair and will give raises if performance scores are there and if funds are available.

I have been working at Fives full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Wonderful atmosphere, great people, and a work / life balance we all desire this day and age!

    Cons

Company may be growing too fast, Cultural differences

    Advice to Management

Global variances can create segregation. To accept each other's differences and learn from them, we will need to unify. Let's do what we do best, the true purpose of the company is... ultimate machines, ultimate factory!

    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Fives full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

people... there are many experienced employees in Cinetic that are dedicated and trustworthy of performing to a higher level and take pride in their work as well as supporting others to tackle any issues to get the job done!

    Cons

Senior management (especially CEO who is nothing short of a micromanager and won’t respect the management layers result of his own creation) ... new CEO has brought in many of his own people from his previous company and they have fallen flat on their faces. Sales are a disaster (losing market share as well as simple interface with customer), engineering management doesn’t communicate with our own departments and... the blaming game is incentivized by the managers themselves. Overall there is no vision with the organization and employees are wondering how long it will take for the company to go under or overtaken by any of the competitors . This has been clearly talked about from all within the organization but it goes on deaf ears. Now to keep somewhat busy there are deals being made with our competitors allowing them to build their equipment on our floor. (BIG RISK)

I worked at Fives full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good benefits, France HR great to work with, Fun position

    Cons

Bad communication, people concerned with processes and unqualified staff discounted as complainers.

    Advice to Management

If you are going to let a chosen few keep flex schedules at least require communication of those schedules, hire degreed professionals with adequate experience for specialized jobs, When positions are eliminated have a plan in place, management should be experienced with various systems, don't procrastinate and resist change when France wants you to utilize systems, use a proactive approach to management don't... wait until the last minute to do everything comprising employee work/life balance, provide training to all staff in various areas, All management and employees should have to adhere to the same policies. Recognize what the Cleveland Fives culture is. They want a productive, collaborative, cohesive environment that promotes sustainability of the company. The Cleveland culture does not want sleep pods or used paper book libraries they want to be an innovative, functioning workplace that works well with bright, educated, qualified people. They want inclusion and want to feel like a part of something.

I worked at Fives full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Several great experienced employees to learn from if they havent be let go or left. Pay and benifits are typical. Dont expect any bonus or recognition no matter how hard you work.

    Cons

Senior management has no vision or direction. Then they lay off the most experienced employees including sales when work is needed. Life expectancy for project managers is very short don't expect to stay long. This is the biggest complain of all their major customers. Don't be surprised if you're forced to work weekends including Sundays. This was a good place to work at until the new management starting... reorganizing.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees as a valuable asset instead of a expendable commodity. It would also help if you have more working employees than managers.
