I worked at GEI full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Pay is weekly and on time.

The owner is his own worst enemy but rules with an iron hand.

    Advice to Management

I worked at GEI full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Some really excellent people work here, it’s a shame that they are stuck in this mess though.

    Cons

Where there are nice things people there are also complete turds. Sarcastic, not funny, entitled, hate their job and take it out on other people are a few descriptions of some of the people that work at gei works.

    Advice to Management

Less meetings please. Too many times the entire sales office is completely empty and every single salaperson is in a meeting at once for hours at a time during business hours while the phones ring off the hook. The constant doom and gloom about needing cash immediately so bills and employees can get paid is not the right way to motivate your employees. It will just make people want to jump ship. Stability is important. I would have retired here if I didn’t constantly think the company was going to fold.

I worked at GEI full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Weekly pay. Take the quick money and get out!

    Cons

Revolving Door! Don't bother making friends with your co-workers. I have not seen a company with such a low retention rate. Every week I worked there at least two people were fired or decided to quit. Staff is moved into management positions like finance & human resources that have no prior knowledge or experience. Training is a complete joke! My advice, get hired and take the quick money while looking for your next job.

    Advice to Management

Most of you were not qualified for your position anyways. Just keep kissing the owner's Butt and make your money.

  5. "Duplicitous in their hiring. No accountability for actions. Constant revolving door of hire to fire employees."

I worked at GEI full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Location is in a decent area.

    Cons

Worked there for 2 months. Within 7 weeks 6 people were fired or walked out. The department I was hired into eliminated, and my resume "reevaluated". I lasted one more week before being fired. This is a privately owned company where the owner is king. Very sketch. Don't waste your time. The longest tenured person there has been there five years.

    Advice to Management

None to give. You know exactly what your doing and it's simply sad that the US doesn't have more laws to protect working citizens from companies like yours.

    Pros

Salary is great. Employee schedules are really good. Benefits are even better. They way that they choose their employees is not the best way but according to them it's effective.

    Cons

Waste people's time and make people wait days to tell them they are not qualified for the job when they have already made a desicion.

    Advice to Management

Be straight up and tell them you are not qualified for the job and don't make them wait. Tell them right there.

    Pros

Small company where everyone knows each other

    Cons

low advacement opportunity, customers are 2nd to executives

    Advice to Management

Grow the business, update the website, get back to customer care, answer sales calls.. Customers can't even get through to leave orders.. put the customers first and business will grow

    Pros

    Cons

Micro-management; lacks trust, lacking customer service skills, lacking people skills - communication issues, corner cutting.
