    Positive Outlook

    Pros

    Opportunity, everyone shares similar work ethic, salary has performance based incentives, things work like clock work.

    Cons

    Cannot think of any, I thrive on opportunity, so am pleased.

    Advice to Management

    Open transparent communication exists so no need to share.

    Negative Outlook

    I have been working at ICD full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    A very highly valued agency, doing excellent work with people with all sorts of disabilities, from mental health so physical to brain injury to substance abuse, etc.

    Cons

    ICD is going to close, all except the Vocational Department. This is really a very sad thing. This agency has been serving the needs of the disabled In NYC since 1917...and now due to financial difficulties they are closing.o

    Negative Outlook

    Pros

    - International, young group;
    - Location. Berlin is nice!

    Cons

    - Everything else. the interns have to do everything: from reception work to cleaning, go to the supermarket to buy stuff;
    - no guidance;
    - the conferences are just buzz words;

    Advice to Management

    - use the very smart people willing to work for you;
    - respect your interns.

    Pros

    Great possibility to get contacts for the future
    Other interns make a great working enviroment
    Great multicutural expirience

    Cons

    Long working hours, but you get free days for it
    Not much space for growth
    The only thing interns do is sending invitations, moving chairs and try to get speakers for conferences

    Advice to Management

    Be open to changes

    Negative Outlook

    I worked at ICD (Less than a year)

    Pros

    can`t think of any apart from young co-interns from all around the world

    Cons

    you will not gain any valuable experience apart from spamming universities and organizations. it is not what they advertise. Instead of hiring permanent staff they hire a lot of interns to market their events.

    Advice to Management

    change the concept! disclose what you are truly doing instead of hiding behind organizing the cultural conferences

    Neutral Outlook

    I worked at ICD (Less than a year)

    Pros

    There are not too many pros apart from meeting some great people and the opportunity to network.

    Cons

    Too many interns. Too little guidance. Employees should use the conferences to network in order to find other opportunities.

    Advice to Management

    There was very little guidance and very little room for creativity. A complete lack of transparency for an ngo. It would be nice to find out more about how the ICD is funded.
