    Positive Outlook

    Pros

    Opportunity, everyone shares similar work ethic, salary has performance based incentives, things work like clock work.

    Cons

    Cannot think of any, I thrive on opportunity, so am pleased.

    Advice to Management

    Open transparent communication exists so no need to share.

    I have been working at ICD full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    A very highly valued agency, doing excellent work with people with all sorts of disabilities, from mental health so physical to brain injury to substance abuse, etc.

    Cons

    ICD is going to close, all except the Vocational Department. This is really a very sad thing. This agency has been serving the needs of the disabled In NYC since 1917...and now due to financial difficulties they are closing.o

    I worked at ICD (More than a year)

    Pros

    Meeting interesting people from all over the world!!!

    Cons

    Crazy management (e.g. there is no real management); ambiguous atmosphere; managers are running all sorts of things on the side and seem not to be really interested in the Institute or the students. The credo seems to be "let it run by itself" or "the strongest (cunniest) will survive." In short: it's a great place to hang out for some time and meet international crowd from all walks of life. But this is not a serious place to be considered as an employer / partner / professional. I think it should be clearly communicated to the interns and everyone who comes there.

    Advice to Management

    Less ambiguity, more professionalism in your area of expertise!

    I worked at ICD full-time

    Pros

    Very Friendly, international, and many contacts. I think that it has some of the biggest political and cultural networks in Europe.

    Cons

    You are mostly alone as most of the team leaders are busy with the house daily events.

    Advice to Management

    Better Organization is needed.

    Pros

    - International, young group;
    - Location. Berlin is nice!

    Cons

    - Everything else. the interns have to do everything: from reception work to cleaning, go to the supermarket to buy stuff;
    - no guidance;
    - the conferences are just buzz words;

    Advice to Management

    - use the very smart people willing to work for you;
    - respect your interns.
