    Positive Outlook

I worked at Indexx full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Room for growth. Opportunity to learn the printing industry with advancement.

    Cons

Basically, you better be prepared to consider you're job there, you're number one priority.

    Advice to Management

Be understanding, and give you're employees a little raise every year.

    Negative Outlook

    Pros

They offered good benefits, excellent equipment and allowed some overtime.

    Cons

The company was poorly managed from the top down. I worked for a branch of the company that was in another state from the main office and were made to second class in comparison to people in head quarters. Never made to feel a part of the team. Pay was very low and did not receive a penny of a pay increase in 3 years.

    Advice to Management

Be more upfront and honest with your employees. Communicate better and make employees feel a part of a team. Make people feel valued.

    Neutral Outlook

I worked at Indexx (Less than a year)

    Pros

Although my internship was only two days a week, the working environment was enjoyable, and my colleagues were pleasant.

    Cons

I witnessed abrupt, unannounced layoffs which was not inspiring. The company exhibited 'growing pains' during my brief stay with them.

    Advice to Management

Management remained positive despite times when morale was low and improvements slow. The open work area was appreciated.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Indexx full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Hard working people. Nice facility.

There are some very high quality people working here (and some low...)

    Cons

Lack of leadership from the top. Lots of interpersonal drama.

Sales team needs a plan! Too many management changes.

Magazine division is a drag on the company. Need to dump it.

    Advice to Management

    Image without substance is nothing.

    Pros

It is a very nice office to work in: well decorated and appointed. Trouble is, none of this trickles down to the employees.

    Cons

RUTHLESS, mean-spirited and poor middle management. HIGH employee turn-over. Mediocre 401K plan. Virtually NO HR support, or employee guidelines (handbook). BIG discrepancies between how the "professional" people were treated vs. how the blue color people were treated. Crowded and hazardous back hallways. Lots of safety and ergonomic issues. Really bad employee attitudes and morale. Needlessly complex work methodologies and procedures. Highly scrutinized work environment. ROTTEN health care plan (s). Little or no janitorial staff.

    Advice to Management

IF management cared as much about employees (OR customers) as it did about making money, then Indexx would dominate the Southeast. It will remain hampered by its high employee turn-over, and merciless devotion to generating revenue at ALL costs.

    Recommends

    Pros

Most people are on the same page with providing the best services and printed products to satisfy the customer's needs all of the time. The environment is very inviting and friendly. All employees work together to achieve the company's goals to provide and excellent customer experience.

    Cons

Vacation time has to be planned a year in advance and it is very difficult to get the time you want if someone else in your department has seniority or has taken a slot already.

    Advice to Management

Try to come up with ways to promote friendly competitive ways to promote morale and reward a job well done.
