Worked there 5 over years, took on many extra jobs roles and responsibilities. No pay raise in over 5 years; told them I wouldn't do the extra work anymore unless they paid me extra- continued doing my regular job. They fired me and told me over the phone that "we've accepted your resignation"; I applied for unemployment benefits- I was denied because they said I was "fired for insubordination". So if you need money, it's a job- but don't expect to build a career there, don't try to go above and beyond what you are supposed to do, and don't be surprised if they kick you on the way out.

Environmental conditions: Bad air quality from processing raw material Cold temps/ hot temps Noise level above 90 dba Forklift traffic patterns and speed Heavy lifting ( over 80lbs ) Safety committee non existent Lack of machine guarding Organization apathy Management: Superiority complex Lack of leadership Underestimating their workforce Illegals working here: quite a bit. Lacking simple business acumen Product and Machines: Old and not validated for safety or repeatability Open machine guarding ignored Hearing damage is clearly obvious No incoming material testing for strength or content Non validated claims on finished product strength Specs on product requirements are verified by hand and without any instrument methodology Production process approvals are on selective parts. Oil and grease all over the facility create walking and forklift hazards Machine power conduit (440v and 240v) run along the floor surrounding the machines. Open breaker boxes and insufficient s spacing between walls and machinery Flaws and safety shortfalls in the crane supporting structure and controls. Untrained forklift and crane operators not utilizing hard hats or seatbeats. Rushed and hurried production management creating high risk injuries and conditions.
