Pros

I had did not have a single positive experience while working at Jaipur.

Cons

The root of the problem is this: the CEO, Asha Chaudhary, never had another job prior to becoming CEO of her father's company. Asha literally went from business school to CEO. As a result her company is very flawed. I was in the marketing department. My managers never made me feel like I was part of the team. I was just there to get the tasks that they requested done. There was little leadership demonstrated and it was clear that my managers, at least in the marketing department, were only interested in their own self interests and not the betterment of the company as a whole. Jaipur is an unethical company with terrible leadership. I know for a fact that the few good reviews on Glassdoor were bribed out of employees by the HR department. Do no work at this company. My experience there was very disappointing because I fell in love with the story of the company and what I thought it was about: empowering artisans across the world and bringing an ancient craft to a modern market. This all a glossy story and is not true. These are not good people to work for.

I am sorry that you feel you did not have a single, positive experience while at Jaipur. Asha Chaudhary literally grew up with the company in her home, with 2 looms and 9 artisans. Because of her leadership, the company has grown to over 40,000 artisans and has made Inc's magazine's list of the 5000 fastest private growing companies for the past 2 years. It takes a GREAT CEO to make this happen. I don't think anyone can discount the fact that our artisans have been giving amazing opportunities to be empowered by becoming entrepreneurs, opportunities for free education, training, and healthcare. No one has been bribed to write a positive review. Positive reviews are not only encouraged, but do exist on our profile. Connie Kasputis HR Manager

Disorganized and misleading

Pros

Management will listen and resolve some issues,

Cons

There is too much of the "too much too soon" for new employees without proper training. Training seems to be indifferent and detached. Hiring is misleading and when promised one thing, new employees receive a completely different job duty list once on the job. It seems that this "team" mentality is only for show. People talk behind your back and are more ruthless and immature than I have ever seen seen in any office environment. Horrible, negative environment

Worst place I've ever worked

Pros

Some of the people I worked with were very nice and willing to help when management didn't want to help you.

Cons

There were a lot of nasty people here, more than most offices. Managers always treated employees as if they were worthless. Managers never seemed to want to help but rather constantly criticize.
