      Pros

      You’re able to make your own schedule for the most part. You can work in the community and aren’t in an office all day.

      Cons

      My coordinator to whom I report never gets back to me regarding clients. You will never get a raise. There is no communication on say a monthly basis regarding whether or not your clients are doing well or what other resources they may need. I was told I’d get a raise and my coordinator never got back to me regarding it when she recommended me for one. Clients are challenging at times and families are sometimes difficult to work with despite your best efforts. It is a thankless job no matter how hard you try.
