    Negative Outlook

I have been working at LBBD full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very flexible, does not clash with home life. Large organization with lots of people to network with.

    Cons

Too much uncertainty around job security, council's were once known as secured employment providers but now it seems it's turned the other way round. Not enough support or motivation for staff to perform well.

    Advice to Management

Start recognizing staff for their achievements as opposed to any minor mistakes which are out of our control.

I worked at LBBD full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great training, fantastic teams across the borough one big happy family. Lovely organisation to work for.

    Cons

At the time I was employed thee was no opportunities for me to progress any further which is why I left.that has now changed and there have been alot more roles introduced.

    Advice to Management

Just look after your staff a bit more on a personal level and be a little more sympathetic when stress is apparent within teams.

I have been working at LBBD full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

An inclusive borough - always forward thinking in approach and in the short space of time I have been working here I believe the LA take a vested interest in the emotional well-being of its staff and local community.

    Cons

Not so glamorous in its location (A13). Quite industrial which is not attractive as a place to live but this is changing with the new developments around Barking Riverside etc.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the grass roots people with fresh ideas and embrace new talent coming from different areas of the country.
