    Pros

    Great company that fields a highly professional team of technicians and engineers. Financial controls are very strong. Paramount is attention to customer service and support. Maintaining long term relationships with clients by the company by taking care of them no matter what sets it apart from competitors.

    Good place in my opinion. If you work hard, people see it.

    Your not home alot, it's hard at times, but that's the industry.

    Advice to Management

    Pay could be more. For what is charged to customers compared to what I make is way off.

    Pays Well
    Newest Technology is important to the Company

    Cons

    Total lack of management oversight or assistance until the very last minute when things are crashing and burning, at which point they just scream and insult everyone involved.

    Company is entirely sales driven. The rest of the company exists to make sure whatever is sold magically happens.

    Resources are never allocated in an appropriate timeframe to get the job done. Forecasting is terrible. Management waits until the last minute to react and it's often too late.

    Everything is run by 'gut'. This is from the top down and part of LMG's culture, but they have grown too big to make that successful.

    They have outgrown their means at this point.

    They are also making employees complete positive reviews on this site to boost their ratings.

    Pros

    Amazing work, great technology. The Live Events industry is a tough one and those that pursue a career in it, know it. Those just starting out may not, and it’s hard to describe in an interview without experiencing it for yourself. This industry and LMG are certainly not for the fainthearted. The commitment to improvement is strong, and rewarded.

    Cons

    No place is perfect. I’ve worked at LMG for a long time and have seen glimpses of some of the negative comments made on a few of these reviews. The commitment to serving the customer’s every need sometimes compromises the work life balance of the team. The CEO can come off as abrasive but it’s more of a personality quirk than a character flaw. I’ve also seen him show compassion and do incredibly generous things.

    Don’t forget to focus on people before technology, explain and align your team to the company’s goals

    There are none, maybe a very few good people.

    Cons

    If I could give them no stars I would. They talk up the show assistant position, you will NOT advance and they will run you to the ground and that's still not enough. Your supervisor is not located here in the state same with HR which is a joke alone. Just trust me dont do it!!! Oh and you dont get paid enough, what you do for them is worth 5 more dollars then they offer. Wish I knew about glassdoor before I accepted the position.

    Listen to your workers and pay them more.

    Pros

    The leadership at LMG encourages growth, both personally and professionally. While there is a very serious culture around delivering on time and to the customers expectations, LMG is full of people who care deeply about what they do and who they work with. There are no shortage of ideas and the creative nature of this industry is in full swing here. If you care about doing a great job you will go far in this company. The level of customer LMG works with is amazing and challenging.

    Cons

    When any company grows rapidly there are inevitably going to be growing pains. LMG is experiencing some massive growth right now and it's challenging keeping up. Right now there are a lot of tough lessons being learned as processes and people get moved around to make LMG a better company. Change takes time and patience.

    Focus on more training. Your process is only as good as your people.

    Pros

    LMG has always been a very professional company when it comes to technology and customer service. We are always looking to improve our processes and make sure we deliver the best possible outcome no matter what the situation. We always strive to make sure our customers are happy with our products and services. I have known Les Goldberg for 30+ years and he has always been our mentor of this philosophy . He will engage himself in the smallest to the largest project. He has always been willing to go the extra mile to make sure our projects are a success. There have been many times over the years when he was willing to meeting with customers and myself to assure they were happy and that they know they are getting the utmost attention even at the executive level. Les Goldberg is one of the key reasons that I have not only stayed with but thrived at LMG for so many years.

    I really do not have any cons but if your not motivated and not constantly striving to move to the next level of whatever skill you may have then LMG may not be for you. We are not sitting still !
