Pros

Full time employees are 48 hours on 6 days off. Positive work environment made by employees and management. Freedom to truly practice your skills running on a primary 911 on an ALS unit. Great equipment. Career advancement from EMT to Paramedic. Good relationship with the community, police, fire dept and hospital staff.

Cons

Allot of good employees leave for better pay and career advancement at the Paramedic level. No real retirement options. For-profit company. High turnover rate Transparency issues in the past.

Pros

Great co-workers and good work-life schedule. Good medical benefits.

Cons

We used to be treated like real people and now we are just treated as a number to management. We received pay "raises" but they cut our hours resulting in about 5k less annually. They try to cut costs at every corner to fill the companies pockets. We can't afford to work for the company. We are always short supplies at stations. You'll always feel like management is trying to write you up for every little technicality. Also there is no room to advance your career.
