I worked at LinkUs full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Busy busy busy
    Always something to do

    Cons

Typical black and white corporate rules
    Long days without caring
Treated like replaceable with snap of fingers

    Advice to Management

Low level management was fine. Upper management needs to look past to handbook and check out how to work with day to day problems

    Pros

The best part about here is working independently working and working with new customers everyday.

    Cons

I am micro managed at every corner the routing department seems to be King. No one appreciates hard work and managers are so underpaid its not even funny.

    Advice to Management

Pay your lower management more than you pay you entry level techs

I worked at LinkUs (More than a year)

    Pros

They're an employee-owned company which is great. As a dispatcher, you have the opportunity to get commission on products sold but it's few and far between.

    Cons

They run their employees ragged. Not many non-management employees make it to two years.

I have been working at LinkUs full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

This company is great in my office. I work in Eugene , Oregon. I cover Eugene, Florence, Roseburg, Mckenzie River,Springfield, Junction City, Tangent , Lebanon, and Albany etc.
Truck, Tools, Training, Phone, Gas Card, Uniforms, and a great career are provided. I came in with Comcast experience in cable installation, and now I can install and maintain a Dish Satellite system.
The customers are great, the atmosphere is great, and another thing I enjoy is the many opportunities to make money to provide for your family .
If you get stuck on a job there are other techs willing to help via email or phone call or a drop in. The FSM will come out of his way to make an appearance on a job and ask during the week how your doing with your metrics.

    Cons

Long hours , if you are out and about stuck on a job, you can be away from your family for a many too many nights. It can be taxing with the hours. But the Brightside is the type of work and the feeling you have at the end of the day.
The trucks don't all have working heaters and radio. Small issues nothing too big.

    Advice to Management

Give us the uniforms after 30 days perhaps so we can go into our customers homes with some pride in the company and show off the logo of Dish and Linkus.

I worked at LinkUs full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

If you like to work 60+ hours a week at minimum wage and have 4 days off a month then this job is for you.

    Cons

Never get to spend time with your family. Always something wrong with the company trucks. Near impossible to get a raise. They would rather have you make sales then complete jobs.

    Advice to Management

Its pointless to become a field service manager. Satellite technicians make more money then fsm's. So you pretty much make more money then your boss. Backwards right! Thats how the company is be ran...

I worked at LinkUs full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The only pros that I can think of is the company does a lot of giveaways to employees for making sales.

    Cons

Pay is horrid, pay per job is crap. Position becomes more sales than installation or customer service. Hard and long work for little to no pay (pay per job kills your pay if you get on a job that takes a lot longer than scheduled.)

    Advice to Management

Eliminate the pay per job, go to straight hourly and stop counting sales more than installation quality for install technicians.

I worked at LinkUs full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They provide a company truck and a gas card. However, usually the worst trucks they have. Thats about it for the pros

    Cons

you'll work 50-70 hours a week. Work starts at 6:30AM. Sometimes you'll be out until 11PM or later and have to get up for work again the next morning. They wont send you help, you're on your own. Employee moral is very very low. You can tell no one there wants to be there.

    Advice to Management

Complete overhaul on management. Its very poor

    Cons

Inadequate compensation, high-strung coworkers, condescending management, no follow-through, office politics.
