    Negative Outlook

I worked at PLANSEE (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good benefits, good people and I enjoyed working there for nearly 28 years. Unfortunately like a lot of businesses there have been lay offs in recent years.

    Cons

Employee cutbacks over the past two years meant increased work load for many employees. But it still remained a workplace with a good atmosphere. I am sad to have been laid off.

    Neutral Outlook

I have been working at PLANSEE full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Solid financially, diversified, great benefits, generally good working environment, cutting edge technologies and very few competitors in industry. Total control of supply chain allowing for strong margins.

    Cons

Management settles for mediocrity, rarely looks to improve operations, sales effort or customer satisfaction. Leadership is very absent from day to operations and basically has no clue as to how the business is really running. Fails to recognize own employees for career advancement. Fails to recognize value in employees, especially if your a female.

    Advice to Management

Upper management needs to spend more time involved in day to day business and stop traveling around the world. Look for solutions to the problems and stop pointing fingers. Recognize your current employees potential and willingness to grow within the company.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Great benefits package, descent salaries. The management and HR department are fairly work life balance oriented and honest with the employees for the most part.

    Cons

Some of the plants see fairly small with little room for vertical movement. However, since they're smaller it's easier to stand out.

    Advice to Management

This company needs a vision that the employees can relate to and a more personnel oriented management style. Its modern manufacturing and people are not machines. The culture needs to be more inclusive and give employees direction to reach their career goals.

    Pros

The company makes money. Sales have been at an all-time high and continue to climb. The company is stable and solvent. Good benefits.

    Cons

There is no upward mobility. Promotions of women are few. It helps to know German. It is spoken in front of non-speakers, which does not build team. Working extra time (no overtime given) does not get you anywhere.

    Advice to Management

Salaried personnel should not have to punch a timeclock. Trust your employees.

I have been working at PLANSEE full-time

    Pros

Exciting, fast paced, challenging projects. Freedom to be actively involved in many business areas. High performing products, high tech services, wide array of high tech industries served. Steady growth. Good job security. Perfect environment for fast learners.

    Cons

Management does not value its employees. No commendation for outstanding individual achievements. Annual pay raises are in line with increasing cost of living, but not taking into account job performance, acquisition of new skills, improvements, profitability. Quarterly earnings program is only marginally influenced by employee effort and performance; primarily determined by fluctuations in global economy and resulting sales.

    Advice to Management

Put more emphasis on employee satisfaction and company morale. Show employees that outstanding performance is desired, greatly valued, and highly rewarded. Give them something to work towards!

    Pros

I have been working at PLANSEE full-time

    Pros

    Advice to Management
