Pros

The co-workers were the only good thing about this company.

Cons

There was absolutely no training. I was given a policy and several clients in less than 24 hours. As a consultant, you want to do your best for the clients and transferees, but management puts you in a difficult position with no training and little support. If you have a question or need an answer from management, they take forever getting back to you, which not only frustrates employees but escalates the frustrations of the transferee you are trying to help. At times, different managers had different answers for the same policy questions which frustrated us. I witnessed a manager giving the transferee false hopes on a policy exception knowing it would never go through. The Manager's response or many times lack thereof, would cause further unnecessary frustration for the transferee which puts the counselor in a not so favorable position. Management also places a heavy and unreasonable workload on a few people instead of training properly and distributing accordingly and were proven not to be honest about it in the process. As for the 401k....the CEO took the company matching away within 6 months of hiring 4 employees. He then bragged about the money he was making/could make from a radio show he hosted in a meeting but then said as a side note that he was putting it back into the company. This obviously did not project well with the employees who were getting little or no pay increase and lost matching 401k. And I almost forgot to mention that their medical benefits were not very good and paid more cash out of pocket. I enjoyed helping my transferees and my awesome co-workers. I am not the only one who left and I know others will be leaving soon. The company is unstable and has lost some business. I would not recommend working there or trust the management at Paragon with my employees transfers.

Pros

Met some nice people. Flexible work hours.

Cons

Paragon hires LO's under false pretenses just to reel you in. Once they have you, there is no support from upper management or marketing. The pay scale is significantly lower than other companies. Everyone is a VP and its hard to get any answers from anyone. They enjoy passing the buck from one to another. I agree with the first guy Run as fast as you can!
