I worked at Plan B for less than a year

    Pros

Almost all of the employees I interacted with were extremely nice and didn't hesitate to offer help when needed. I loved the large variety of projects I got to work on. My supervisors also took the time to ask if there was anything else I wanted to get involved with or if there were things I wasn't interested in. The people I worked with seemed to be genuinely invested in me and my experience while working there....

    I worked at Plan B

    Pros

Very accessible Executives, who value a diversity of opinions from all departments even myself as a freelancer. As a freelancer, they worked with my schedule fairly, and my expertise always felt valued. Fair wages.

    Cons

    Nothing bad to say really.

    Cons

Incredible coworkers - Strong leadership - Great Creative - Results oriented culture - You get what you put in Cons - Work/life balance can swing from time to time - fast moving pace can mean structure rapidly need changing - over reliance on star performers at times.

    Advice to Management

    - Keep working on getting the right people in the door, but make sure we are adding support staff

I worked at Plan B full-time for more than a year

    Pros

A lot of new business coming in. A high -energy time to be involved. They were really great about pushing clients toward better creative. Talented, motivated colleagues that were fun to work with. Chill, supportive ambience, even when cranking. Awesome Creative Directors

    Cons

Project flow process management could use some refinement and enforcement.

    Advice to Management

More specific process protocols would help avoid missteps, and wasted time. Other than that, a great place to do great creative.

I worked at Plan B full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Location You learn to develop a very, very thick skin because of the constant degrading, yelling and beratement from the Partners

    Cons

Every day starts with a morning “gauntlet” session where the mood of the entire meeting is dictated by the emotions of the Partners. Overall every day is a challenge and you never know what you are going to get. You will get thrown under the bus if something goes wrong with a project even when the Partners decided upon the entire idea. When I was recruited for this position I was told that Plan B is a collaborative...

    I worked at Plan B full-time

    Pros

You meet a lot of talented people thanks to the revolving door. Located in the heart of River North. Grungy garage office atmosphere; modern, open layout. Unfortunately everyone can hear everything that goes on in the bathroom and it is awkward for clients to decipher when they visit the office. There’s also years of dust caked in every corner. Pay was decent, but not the best (understandable for a small agency)...

    Cons

Revolving door of a dysfunctional agency that doubles as a frat house. Favoritism runs rampant, predominately for male employees. Unsurprisingly, upper management is only comprised of Caucasian males in their 40s/50s, perpetuating the Mad Men stereotype rather than moving forward to create an inclusive and diverse work space. It was disappointing to witness those in charge act like mean girls, inappropriately talking...

    - Location - Size of agency allows you to become comfortable with everyone quickly - The people who work there - Pay

    Cons

There were no major cons to Plan B during my time there. If I have to list one, it’d be that not many people were willing to make coffee lol.
