Working at Pointsmith as a Program Manager was one of the most frustrating and disheartening experiences of my career. The company only provided me with one week of inadequate training, and from there, I was handed every complex and undesirable task they didn’t want to deal with. To make matters worse, the leadership team constantly gave me incorrect and contradictory information during my training, leaving me with no clear direction.
When I sought clarification or asked questions, I was met with rude, condescending attitudes, and told, "you were already trained on this," even though the information I was given was wrong in the first place. It felt like they set me up to fail. The leadership took no responsibility for their own mistakes and would regularly blame me for issues that were a direct result of their poor guidance.
The culture quickly became unapologetically arrogant. A botched promotion led to a massive increase in customer service calls and emails, and despite being overwhelmed with the volume, they decided to hold me accountable for their errors.
If you're looking for a supportive, respectful, and professional work environment, look elsewhere. The lack of accountability and toxic management here make it nearly impossible to succeed.
