Pros

Unless you are really into direct marketing and sales, you'll hate this job.

Cons

They were completely dishonest in the job description about what I would be doing. I applied to be a "Boutique Public Relations Assistant/Design Consultant" -- I stand in a Sam's Club or Costco for six hours a day hocking random products I know nothing about. Every staff meeting feels like a cult meeting, and everyone around me is drinking the Koolaid. This company is a subsidiary of Smart Club which is connected to numerous other "scam sales" jobs. I really wish that I had known better what I was getting myself into. Further, there is a complete and total lack of professionalism in every facet of the office. Their response time to emails is appalling. Much of my communication with my boss has been via text and response times there are even worse. They have strange rules about not allowing certain level employees into the office until it's time for the morning meeting to start. Further more, they claim to be a supportive, team environment, but really no one has made an effort to introduce themselves to me. Every "system" for sales success that I've had to present, I've had to teach myself because they handle time so poorly that there's never enough time in the morning meeting to complete a lesson.

Pros

Opportunity for commissions and bonuses.

Cons

This is not a full-time paid position ---- $22 - $25 and hour was what I required in order to take this job. In reality they were paying me $12 - $14. Very dishonest approach. This is not for you if you are in a high paying position and wanting to make a career move.

Pros

Zero pros to be taken from this job.

Cons

Lose real world experience, only memorize "techniques", unprofessional Ownership/Management.. don't expect HR to do anything... heasrd them say it themselves. Making way less than you believe to be from the beginning. Manipulation disguised as motivation. Be very careful and avoid them.
