Changing the company name will NOT fix the problems
Pros
Once upon a time, the compensation was very good, and working at Proof (formerly known as Notarize) was worthwhile. There are some very smart people working here.
Cons
Notarize changed the company name to Proof, but the problems continue to worsen. Leadership is often deceptive, can be outright abusive, and does not demonstrate genuine employee care. The SLT gaslights employees in all-hands meetings and changes strategy constantly. Employees are quietly and seemingly randomly laid off or terminated after being put on performance improvement plans. The new company name and brand identity should reflect a bigger product offering and refined strategy, but it seems like a ploy to secure funding before imminently collapsing. Many people will be surprised if the company exists at the end of 2024.
