    Decent pay
Updated training structure makes things clearer

    Cons

Training is a touch long at 3 months (recommended)
Staff retention can be an issue, especially with lots of student staff
Can be boring on slow days
Stock system only updates overnight thus can be very inaccurate by the end of the day.

    Advice to Management

Update the stock system so it accurately reflects stock levels in store, with more frequent updates

    Pros

Management is fair and friendly and most of the team are pretty easy to get along with. Fits in with school/college so good for students.

    Cons

Pay can be considered to be quite low compared to other companies however it's not too bad. That's the only con really.

    I worked at Ryman full-time

    Pros

Good Company, fair to employees; benefits, bonuses and loads of chocolate as reward for the hard work.
    Overall a very good company.
It is indeed hard work, especially in some stores, like the Stand branch or others in central, but to be fair it's absolutely good.
Most branches in central have a Monday to Friday team, and a second team for the weekend, although in some stores you'll be expected to work one weekend a month and enjoy your two days off during the week.
Overtime is absolutely up to you, everything is paid, and managers (mine, at least) literally push you out of the store once your shift is finished.
Training is to be completed at work, just ask your manager and they'll give you 30 minutes a day to complete your training book.
20 minutes paid break, plus 1 hour for lunch and a second 20 minutes tea break, these last two are unpaid though.
I left because I had to go back home for a while, otherwise i would have definitely stayed.

    Cons

Because of the breaks (2o'+1h+20' = 1 h 40 min total) a 6h25min shift is spread over almost 9 hours. But, as the job is quite intense you'll find you'll really need those breaks.
