I have been working at SpectraCell Laboratories full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The good about working here is there is no micro management (not the case with certain sups) Very understanding and willing to work with your schedule.

    Cons

I would like to see the pay increase to market for the position that I am currently. There is no room for growth here. A very high turn over rate.

    Advice to Management

    Increase pay

I worked at SpectraCell Laboratories full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The products are fantastic. The work hours and benefits are great.

    Cons

The management are changing constantly so there is high turnover. They are constantly changing the process so it is very confusing and lacks uniformity. What once was all about the employee is now all about the bottom line as most corporations have not gone to this same mentality. Quantity over Quality.

    Advice to Management

Pick a process. Don't keep changing every time you change your managers. Educate your supervisors on how to supervise and teach through example.

    Pros

A lot of my co-workers were pretty nice. The pay was OK. Schedule was reasonable.( but only because I repeatedly had to make it clear that I couldn't stay until 8 o'clock every night).

    Cons

A lot of office politics. Some of the employees that had been there for a long time got away with doing virtually nothing, and threw newer employees under the bus for mistakes that they had actually made. No good organization or structure. Management not willing to listen to any suggestions as to how to make things more efficient and run more smoothly.

    Advice to Management

Try to look at the bigger picture. Don't focus so much on every individual mistake made by employees and realize the problem is that there isn't a good overall system for running things.

    Pros

Good people, good benefits, average pay (although they freeze raises all the time and only give it to their favorites or the ones that suck up to management)

    Cons

Management is childish, lack vision, lack experience, lack communication. A lot of favoritism is given to certain employees and it is obvious through title changes, pay raises and awards that are not deserved due to other people doing their job. The president looks the other way in fear of having to actually do something about it.

    Advice to Management

    Get new management!

I have been working at SpectraCell Laboratories (More than a year)

    Pros

Great people, great products, fun industry.

    Cons

The company lacks all vision and direction. Upper management does not communicate well with field based sales reps which makes the company not run efficiently. The CEO and President takes a back seat and does nothing- no vision.

    Advice to Management

Learn what customer service is and then do it, listen to your clients and make appropriate changes, change upper managment with people who know how to efficiently run a company.
