In my time here, just over a year, there have been 2 major restructurings and multiple small restructurings. The leadership is not transparent and would spring changes across the company without notice or warning.
The day to day work was fine, and the local teams are good to work with. The technology provided is outdated. The laptop was usable, but the tablet provided was so slow and laggy that it was embarrassing to give presentations to customers using it.
While the local team offered decent support, the leadership would often cancel meetings or calls. Concerns about the quality of our service, finding solutions, or strategy were pushed off to other sales executives to talk through instead of the sales director.
Many accounts that I sold were lost due to poor quality of cleaning services. Whether the sold accounts were for recurring services, specials, or a hybrid I would usually take calls from unhappy customers. Some issues were fixed, but way too many accounts were lost.
The reputation of our cleaning, and my own faith in our services, made it harder to sell on quality. Stratus emphasized being a high quality clean, or the last cleaner you will ever need. That would be great if it were true, but it is not. Stratus's level of clean has been outshined by local cleaners, staff cleaners, or other big box solutions like Top Flight or JanPro.
Half of my given territory was largely unserviceable. We did not have any cleaners in the area, and those we found that were willing to travel to service accounts there were unreliable. This made it very difficult to hit my metrics.
Overall I would say this is a decent quick-hitter job, but job certainty is questionable at best. Positions and company structure have been unstable.
